Yes you can just say your name followed by “Enchanté!” … nice to meet you. Or you can just say your name as you are shaking hands with someone you just met.

In France, is it common for someone to shake hands and only say their name?
For example, in a casual setting I might shake hands and say “Cait, nice to meet you,” or something along those lines, rather than saying “My name is Cait.”
Along those same lines, is there a more slang introduction equivalent to “I’m Cait”?
